This exhibition featured 71 objects from the Byzantine Collection of Dumbarton Oaks in Washington, D.C., representing the imperial, ecclesiastical and secular realms. The book also contains reproductions of American paintings from the collection of Mildred and Robert Woods Bliss, by such artists as Childe Hassam, Walter Gay, and Henry Golden Dearth.
